Today I was back with baby Scott and his Mama practicing with light. I received a new speed flash for Christmas and this was a great, no pressure, way to just get creative and have fun with it! We did a lot with natural light at first- opening and closing curtains and eventually moved to the flash. He is growing so fast and I'm so glad I get to document this time of his little life, he's a cutie!! (But I'm not biased) ;) What a great way to end 2014!

I found these photos I took before close friends of mine moved from the mountains over 3 years ago. The boys and I spent one of our last days together fishing on the lake and we had so much fun. So many good memories, miss you guys! :)
Started taking some pictures around the farm for my class, my professor wanted to see a more "real" side of farming vs. all the "pretty" pictures always shown… These were taken last week during the milking.
Took some photos while walking around the farm and driving on the tractor, I love this time of year when all the wildflowers are blooming; it's so gorgeous out!
Did my first newborn shoot today! It was a lot different than I thought it would be but I would definitely do it again! Baby "D" didn't want to do much with out his Mama but as soon as we took him out in the warm sun he fell right asleep. We did some playing around with outfits and hats and got some cute pictures of the family too. I still have to practice with different lenses and figuring out indoor lighting and how that will affect things but overall, I LOVE how these turned out... here's some of my favorites!
Took the boys to the park, it was difficult to babysit and take pictures at the same time ;) but we had fun. Shot in all manual mode with my f/1.4 lens. Got to work on what is in focus, so next time I'll try a different shutter speed to capture the movement.
It was the perfect day to take G and K to St. Pete's to climb on the rocks. Took lots of pics and played in the water a little! First time shooting only in "manual" mode, loved it!
